1998

This year brought major changes when, on March 18th, camp's lodge and dining hall caught fire, and burned to the ground. To keep summer camp going, a temporary kitchen and dining tent were setup at the bathhouse.  Construction of a new lodge was started in July, and it was usable by the time Winterama was held in December. Ultimately, God would use the destruction of the old building to build up a new and bigger lodge, without which camp would be much smaller than it is today.

Tim Hadley came on as Program Assistant, and was involved in many of the changes throughout the year. The Twin Oaks Chapel was re-roofed, the main parking lot was expanded, the Cook's Cabin added a bathroom, and the climbing tower was built.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the

LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11
