In 1983, Camp was blessed with a brand new cabin, called the "Cooks Cabin," for the purpose of housing the chefs in an area as close to the kitchen as possible. This made it far easier for volunteers to prepare breakfast early in the morning for campers to enjoy.

This year also included the addition of two bedrooms to the office for the purpose of housing the directors of each camp.

During Boys Camp this year, "The Motorized Christian" became a hit as campers learned about vehicles, how to work with them and how the Christian life can be compared to a car.
